By utilising local market expertise through Citi's local presence, we are able to track market movements and trading strategies.

Citi's global clearing service, relied upon by brokers in 48 countries, also gives us the built-in securities lending demand - worldwide - through the implementation of fails-coverage programs providing intraday settlement in the local country.

To support local country development, we continue to work closely with regulators and assist in defining markets standards. We take the lead in evaluating free movement of securities defining applicable buy-in procedures monitoring market volatility, and understanding local securities processing procedures prior to initiating lending of securities. This helps to assure a controlled framework and support our pioneer role in new lending markets around the world.
